Capture One 20 for Sony... can't handle other camera brands?
Hello,
I've been using Capture One for a while now and recently replaced my old Canon 5D Mk II camera with a new Sony A7 III. I purchased the latest Capture One 20 (Build 13.0.3.29) for Sony, but can't seem to do anything on my old (Canon) sessions anymore. Is this normal? I know the new version has specific settings for Sony, but is this really the reason? If that's the case, it's pretty strange...
Thanks for your answers.

Hi Mathieu,
Yes, this is normal. Capture One for Sony is made for Sony cameras only, and can't open images coming from other brands. If you want to open your images taken with your 5D-II, you'll have to upgrade to Capture One Pro full version.

Hi Mathieu.
Sony and Fuji versions only support Sony or Fuji and are offered at a discounted price (compared to the Pro version). You might want to upgrade to the "Pro" version, or leave the old Canon files in the old Pro version of C1 which you still have, or can install again, unless you have had a subscription which you canceled.
Having installed two versions of Capture One on the same computer is not recommended, but I have not yet encountered a problem (in the past, though I cannot say this for version 20 as I have not used two different versions since my upgrade to Pro v20).
