You could try a few things.

To check whether this is catalog related, create or use another catalog, just for testing.

To check whether this has to do with your Styles folder, save in a different folder. Yes, I know that Capture One won't be able to find it, but just see whether saving works.

Please check that there is enough space available on your disk.

Hi, thank you for your thoughts.

I tried the following without any solution of the problem:

    -reinstall CaptureOne

    -use another catalog

    -save to diff folder

    There is 6TB of discspace....

So I fear its a heavy bug...

Can you save your adjustments from the adjustments tab as a style?

    regards,

    Chris

Yes, I can save adjustments from the adjustments clipboard as a style without problems. There must be something specific to your setup.

    I have another two tips.

One, is that you delete the preference file. This does not affect images or their adjustments, but you could lose preview cache settings, or file naming scheme if you saved those. You find the preference file here:
    user/library/preferences/com.phaseone.captureone13.plist
Instead of deleting you could rename it in case you like to revert back.

Another tip is that you log in to another account on your computer. If you do not have another account, create one. This account has another user profile and profile file folders. Try to save a style in Capture One with this account.

You find the preference file here:
    user/library/preferences/com.phaseone.captureone13.plist

DANGER WILL ROBINSON!   Active preferences are NOT guaranteed to be in that file.   The plist contains a snapshot at some point in time.   I don't know of any doc that says when Apple actually writes the current preferences to the plist file.

The only safe way to modify/delete preferences is to lauch the terminal app and use the defaults command.

        defaults delete com.phaseone.captureone13

    will delete the preferences.

    Hi both,

I did as you said, but I still get the same error message.

I completely removed then C1 from my Mac (AppDelete.app) with all of its folders, reinstall, reactivation....

.....still the same error message: Style saving error.

It must be a bug....maybe it has something todo with my FujiRAWs?!? X100V bug?

The reason I would like to make this work: saving also adjustment layers within a style would be an extremely powerful tool for my workflow...

A layer can be saved as a style but not multiple layers as a single style.

Saving a layer as a style is still only a Style, not a layer.

If you regularly shoot images that attract the same layers and the same settings for processing purposes then the simple solution is to create one image with the settings you will re-use and use it as a reference image.

For all future images for which you wish to use the exact same adjustments simply copy the adjustments from the "reference" image and apply them to the new image(s).

    HTH.
