    Hi,

Thank you so much for the feedback. I have forwarded your request for improved Photoshop integration internally to our developers.

    Best regards,

    Jakob, Capture One

As far as I'm concerned it would be sufficient if one could edit several (selected) images "as layers" in Photoshop, e.g. using a variant of "Edit with..." in the context menu of an image. I don't see a need to create a single file first. Photoshop is able to accept several files at once, distribute them into layers, and can ultimately create the single file upon saving.

Is this a single button click in PS even for several separate e.g. all opened images? I ask because I dont use PS anymore. In Affinity I only know a time consuming manual way to do so.

I'm not aware of a way to use all openend images but one can point Photoshop to a selection of files or a folder and it will then create a single image with layers populated by the respective images.

Ok, so now I read your post that you support this request, in general, I wasn't sure in the beginning. The "Edit With" functionality need to create a file first, as of today. I see no need to change this, the only difference being that several variants are stored together in one file, as layers.

Yes, I support your request, but note that implementing your request specifically would be quite demanding as Phase One would have to create a file using a third-party format.

However, for the effect you want -- being able to start editing an image comprising multiple layers where each layer is populated by one of the images in a C1 selection -- it is not necessary to create such a file upfront.

One could simply point Photoshop (or other software) to the files to be used.

The compound file could be saved straight away by Photoshop but is really only needed when leaving Photoshop.

I understand there is a workaround, thank you.

C1 can even out-process a file with layers (psd I dont know but tiff), so the challenge might or might not be so hard for C1 developers.

    regards

I’m so glad to see someone else request this. As an architectural photographer my workflow is dependent on layer stacking a number of images in Photoshop. I love capture one but can’t use it because it lacks the “open as layers in Photoshop” option in Light Room. The work around just adds too much time to the edit process. Thank for any consideration to this important feature.
