Make seach bar active only if clicked in
ImplementedIf I want to do a quick search for images with a rating, I click the magnifying glass. The problem is that this step also makes the search bar active and where the cursor then resides. I think selecting the magnifying glass should not make the search bar active.
The scenario is that after I make my quick selection by clicking on the magnifying glass I always press 'g' to see a grid view but instead, the letter 'g' is entered into the search bar and narrows my search. If I want to narrow my search with text then I should deliberately click on in the search bar.
Thanks.

Hi Michael,
Thank you for the comment and suggestion provided.
The search text field should not be active even when the magnifying glass icon is selected, unless you click on the search text field by chance.
As alternative to the magnifying glass icon for searching images with a rating, you may use the Filters tool in the Library tool tab.

Thank you Lily, I see what you mean. I had been using the magnifying glass so I will use a different method.
Michael
edit: When using the Filter tool in the Library Tab:
- I click on a folder that has an active search from a previous visit to that folder
- I click on the X to clear that search then select a star or color rating
- The cursor becomes active in the search bar
- If I press for example G to see a grid, what I get instead is a search for the letter 'G'
Maybe others are different but when I click on the X I do not expect the search bar to be active. I know this minor and I'll adjust. I just wanted to point out my reasoning.
Thanks
