Applying layers to imports

I created an image "template" of several fill layers that adjust different parts of my landscape images. The objective is to have a starting point that I can alter via opacity slider or directly changing targeted settings within each adjustment (fill) layer. I want to apply this "template" to every imported image. 

If I save these layers as a "style" they appear to be compressed so I lose the ability to adjust each layer. If this should not happen, how do I fix?

I looked at "template", but that appears to be related to post-processing.
