Creating/Merging Catalogues into a Master Catalogue

At the moment I have about 36,000 image in separate catalogues organised into years; so I have one catalogue named 2012 another one 2013 and so on up to 2020.

If I want to now take all of the images in those catalogues and create just one catalogue (Master Catalogue for instance) what is the best method to merge/input the images from my separate catalogues into one catalogue still keeping all of the links and edits intact?

Any advice would be very welcome
