AI Image Classification Search
ImplementedGoogle Photos, Lightroom, Windows Photos, etc offer amazing Machine Learning image recognition search tools. I can very quickly search for "flowers" and instantaneously get a list of all of my photos containing flowers.
I'd love the ability to search my entire image catalog in a similar fashion, without having to manually tag every image. Being able to search for "cat", "flower", "architecture", "mountain", "beach", "sunset", etc would be so useful to have integrated into Capture One when managing large photo collections. I supposed Windows Photos also supports this, but it'd be nice to have integrated into my preferred editor.

Official comment
Hi Brian,
Thank you for feedback on Capture One - this is always welcomed and encouraged among our users and we appreciate the time you've taken to contribute towards the development of the software.
I have forwarded your comments and suggestions to our Product Management team as something to consider in a future release.
Whilst we cannot comment on future releases, we take all suggestions on board and hopefully your feedback contributes towards a future version of Capture One.

Why?
It's an output thing. Why does it need to be in the RAW convertor?

What do you mean by "an output thing"?
This has to do with image discovery, and photo management, and search-ability *while* editing and choosing photos to edit. Same as offering keyword searching. Even when working with a single album of a 2-week vacation, it would be nice to quickly pull up photos of a certain type.
For instance, I just spent this last weekend editing through over 1000 photos from a trip to Hawaii. It would have been nice to quickly search for "sunset", "flower", "beach", "trees", "drink", "waterfall" etc and find photos that I remembered taking, and edit those photos. Instead, I had to scroll through to find them all. It could also be nice when creating intelligent albums.
This could be super helpful for filtering and culling, too. Show me all 5-star rated, red-tagged photos of "mountains". I'll edit & publish those.
Similarly, I'd like to find all of my pre-edited photos of flowers to work on a wall collage project. Edit photos I like the most, and get prints. Granted, I don't have my entire photo collection imported into a catalogue, so maybe this isn't terribly valuable, anyways.Yes, I *could* use a 3rd-party app (Windows Photos or something) to find the image, then search for that image by name within Capture One. Maybe add a keyword to it or put it in some special categorical album. Its an extra step, extra software, extra configuration. If the answer is "we are not photo management software and do not want to help you with managing or searching your photo collection" then so be it. Why not get rid of keywords too, if that's the case?
