Lens correction profiles woefully lacking

Hello

I am using the v20 Express version,  but am very interested in the new 'full' Nikon version.  However I don't see a lot of 3rd party lenses supported in the correction profiles.

Namely, I see no profile for:

  • Tamron SP 45 f/1.8 Nikon F
  • Tamron 70-210mm f/4 Nikon F
  • Tamron 100-400mm f/4.5-6.3 Nikon F
  • Sigma 105mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM Macro

Actually, they aren't there for Canon either so I can't borrow it from there.  I see they aren't available for the 'full' version either, so this isn't an Express limitation.  These are fairly common newer lenses, so I expected to see profiles available for them as I own and use these lenses.

Please consider really spending resources to fill out the lens correction profiles for your software.  I can only offer a thank you and a license purchase in return.

    Just read Pentax lens metadata not that I need to load them first into Lightroom, save metadata and than import to C1. Or play with EXIFTOOL to clone data to different line where C1 reads it. I'm asking this from version 9. It literally is just reading the line "LensID" from the file! But C1 only reads it from "XMP:Lens". It is just "if/or" sentence to read both and pick one if it happens that both lines would be present. Lightroom opens file, reads data, than saves data in abundance back into the file on all possible ways. So I reverse ingeneered where it needs to be for the C1 to read it. I dislike Lr to fill metadata with bloat. C1 should only add line or two to seek for additional line of data. THANK YOU.

    this would be nice to add, I've just gotten capture one and noticed this is missing for canon and  I use this lens very regularly

    It has been 6 months and I'm following up on my request.

    This was marked by a moderator as 'Completed' but I am wondering if it was indeed actually completed in the application?  That is, are there lens profiles for my requested lenses now in Capture One?
