Tamron Lens support
Hello, capture one developers. I am just wondering why there is only few Tamron lens supported? I am on trial and was very happy and suppressed how great Capture One raw editing software turned to be, but got very disappointment since lots of new Tamron lens profiles were missing on lens correction function :(
I am very happy with my 17-35mm f2.8-4 Di osd lens which been on market for more then 2 years and still Capure one fails adding this lens profile... Tamron has huge lens collection of new line up lenses and i see only old lenses only supported on Capure one software. Please work on adding up latest Tamron lenses profiles so i will consider to jumping into capture one, but for now i will stick with other softwares..

This is primarily a User to User forum.
If you want to request lens support you could add a post to the Feature Requests section of the forum or, better, use the "Submit a Request" feature to make a specific and personalised request.
I'm sure the team get lens usage feedback and very likely use that to decide which lenses they should put through their laboratory testing.
Lenses that are popular with C1 users are likely to be considered for detailed assessment. Lenses that are not may not.
But there is no harm in making the personal request.

Good luck with Tamron support in Capture One Pro. I can't even get them to make a profile for the Sigma 70-200 f2.8 Sports. Sigmas new flagship 70-200. It's absolutely brutal. They don't seem to give a crap about the end-user in this regard. Every other major RAW developer program has profiles for days. Not Capture One though. To think the program costs $375 Canadian and I don't have lens profiles but I could go and buy the $69 DXO and be covered.
They will also not disclose any future development plans at all. I send a routine email about every six months to request and follow up on support for my main lens. They say the same thing, nothing. So no point in asking them if they plan on supporting any of your lenses in the future. Not that any photographer sitting on thousands of dollars in lenses cares about distortion accuracy or the timeline of support for their investments. This is one place where
Phase One/Capture One look like amateurs if you ask me.

I agree. It would be great to get a profile for this lens which has been out for a while
