Emulating Windows Ink Eraser Tip on Stylus with Mouse and Keyboard?
I noticed that using the Eraser (top end) tip of a stylus allows one to temporarily engage an Eraser brush in C1. Flipping the stylus back into the normal orientation returns to whatever the brush type was that was previously engaged (the latest version of C1 features four different brush types).
Is there any way to emulate the use of a stylus Eraser tip using the mouse and the keyboard?
Why not just use the Eraser tip, you ask?
First, I don't use tablets for image editing.
Second, as David Grover confirmed by writing "...but I actually find it faster to simply hit ‘e’ on the keyboard to select that option and then ‘b’ to return to brush" (https://learn.captureone.com/blog-posts/work-faster-by-customizing-your-wacom-tablet-in-capture-one-pro-7/), it is quicker to not turn around the stylus repeatedly, but instead switch the brush tool (or press a modifier key while using the stylus normally, if that were possible).
BTW, the new brush selection design in C1 means that neither David Grover nor Paul Steunebrink (https://imagealchemist.net/capture-one-layers-continued/) will be able to alternate between brushing and erasing by pressing 'B' and 'E' as required. Instead, they'll now have to switch between 'Q' and 'E', 'S' and 'E', or 'B' and 'E' depending on the layer they are operating on.
This is clearly a step backwards, as far as I am concerned. The Eraser tip of a stylus seems to offer relief, but so far I have not found a way to emulate its behaviour via using a keyboard and a mouse.
Does anyone know a way?
