XMP files in session and catalogs

XMP files use to be generated while using v12. Once I upgraded to v13 XMP files are no where to be found.

What changed?

Import into a session edit then move edits to catalog.

Also use Photo Mechanic sometimes and it is set up to generate XMP for C1.

Is there tutorial on how XMP work with C1 v20?

    At the upper right corner of this page there is a search box.

     

    Type "xmp files" into it and you should see a load of references.

    Support sourced documentation on the left. Forum entries on the right.

    Some will be a better match than others but take your pick .

    Preferences, Image tab.  Set Auto Sync Sidecar XMP to Full Sync.  But be warned that can slow things down.

    Has also been known to cause confusion with somewhat perpetual cycling of metadata changes.

    I don't use it but from what I have read I would be very wary of using Full Sync in anything other than a well thought out and controlled batch update.

    Then turn it off again.

    I did do a search for XMP files just was covering v20 at the time will try again.
