Viewer Window Stuck at 400% Zoom when Using the New Heal and Clone Tools

When working the clone and heal brushes, after using for a while, for no apparent reason, both stop working, as in, neither any longer paint a mask. At that point using the zoom wheel on a mouse which usually zooms the image in and out between Fit and 400% also stops working and it is no longer possible to zoom the image in or out, it is ‘stuck’ at its current zoom level.

I’ve experienced this on numerous occasions now and it seems to happen when working fully zoomed in at 400%. When this happens with both the heal and clone brushes no longer able to paint a mask, it is no longer possible to zoom out or return the image in the viewer window back to any other level of zoom so it is stuck at 400%. This is true when attempting to zoom using the mouse, the slider from the GUI, selecting different zoom levels from the View menu or the keyboard shortcuts, ‘cmd -‘ and ‘cmd +’.

The viewer window itself ‘is’ actually zooming, as in, when Fit is selected, the ‘canvas’ does Fit the Viewer window but the image itself is ‘stuck’ at 400% zoom, so you are only able to see a 400% zoomed version of the image across the whole canvas.

The only way to escape is to Quit and restart Capture One.
