Original Nikon Picture Controls

Hi, It sounded promising when I read the following in the release notes of the C1 20 update released this week: "The profiles available in Nikon Picture Controls are now replicated within Capture One for selected camera models. These profiles are available from the ICC Profile menu within Base Characteristics. They provide the same tone curve and color corrections known from the built-in Nikon JPG files as a starting point for your raw file."

When I have tried to apply these I have made a few troubling observations:
1. Nikon Picture Control chosen in camera isn't applied automatically. A generic profile is applied and you manually have to chose the "replicated" NPC from the profile list.
2. The replicated NPC's don't match the original NPC. Color, tones, contrast and curves are different.

This is how I would like it to work (at least 1 and 2 in the list):

1. C1 identifies the NPC chosen in camera and applies it on import.
2. NPC should be viewed the same way in C1 as in Nikon's proprietary software. At least basic profiles but ideally also with adjusted profiles.
3. To make the user experience even better, Nikon Lens Corrections and Active D-Lightning should also be available in C1.

I already use C1 as my main RAW converter and I think it usually have great colors. There are, however situations where I find Nikon colors to be even better. My choice now is to either go with C1 colors if I want to have access to all of C1's great tools or I have to settle with Capture NX-D if wanting to use Nikon colors. After that there is no possibility to adjust the RAW file further in C1 (This is of course not C1's fault).

Is there any hope that original NPCs will be implemented in the future? Would it be technically possible to implement original NPCs in C1?

Please, note that ICC profiles developed by Capture One will not 100% replicate what is seen in the camera.
