I am having the same problem with files from the M10 Monochrom (crappy, out-of-focus low-resolution images from files processed previously with the older version of Capture One).  In addition to that, trying to process the crappy looking files for output produces errors.  It's interesting that this might be a problem with all M10 files and not just an M10 Monochrom problem.  (by the way, my old M246 files look fine.)

I use sessions instead of catalogs.  My workaround is to create a new variant of a file.  That new variant renders correctly.  (newly imported files look okay as well.  It only seems to be a problem with previously edited or previewed files in the older version of Capture One).  Then copy the adjustments from the primary (crappy-looking) variant to the new variant to preserve your edits. (then delete the original variant).

If you look for the discussion threads here pointing out the problem with the M10 Monochrom files, you should find a person that found a work-around using catalogs (something like 1) creating a backup of the catalog on a different drive 2) deleting the problem files from the original catalog 3) restoring to the original catalog from the backup. )  Now, I don't know enough about catalogs to know if what I just wrote makes sense, but hopefully, that will point you in the direction of a solution.
