Moving photos into folders using tokens
Is there any way to automatically move large numbers of images into folders based on tokens. I have lots of old images imported from Aperture and they all exist within Aperture's folder system that is difficult to parse out. Is there a way to batch move images based on tokens from the EXIF data? My current imports all sort into folders by year/month/day/camera when I import them and I am looking for an easy way to reorganize older images so that they follow the same conventions.

Not not sure if I understand your problem but does this help?

That is the system that I use now for new images. I essentially want to be able to take images that are already in the catalog in the folders that Aperture put them in and then sort them into this type of folder system. I imported an Aperture library to start which is why I have its folder structure to begin with.

What specific tokens are you looking to sort them out into?
If I understand you correctly, one way to sort photo's is by a Keyword:
- In the Metadata tool tab, under the tool Keyword Library, click the (+) symbol, a Create Keywords text box will appear, enter the keyword you would like to assign to an image e.g. 2017 or Flowers. Then click Create.
- The keyword will now appear in the Keyword Library tool within the Session Keywords fly-down menu.
- Highlight the image(s) in the browser you want to assign to that keyword, and click the newly created keyword in the Keyword Library tool.
- In the Keywords tool, you will see that the keyword in now assigned to it.
- In the Library tool tab, under the Filters tool, open the fly-out menu for Keywords. You will now see your keyword appear with a number next to it indicating how many photo's are assigned with that keyword.
- If you find you have already created a keyword and wish to add more images to it, you can also highlight the images(s) within the browser, and drag and drop them into the keyword in the Filters tool.
- Also, to add multiple keywords at once into the Keyword Library, click the (+) symbol, a Create Keywords text box will appear, enter the keywords separated only by a comma e.g. Hat,Shirt,Shoes Then click Create.
