"View selected color range" is too subtle.

Does anybody know if there is a way to make the effect of "View selected color range" in the color editor stronger? I often have trouble seeing exactly what's within the range. I wouldn't mind if instead of making it black and white I could just make the affected areas bright red or black,

    Only two things you can do.

    1.  Move the tool sliders to the very end of the scale to exaggerate the effect
    2. create a masked layer from the color selection (find it in submenu of the tool "..."). Then use any tool to exaggerate your selection e.g. turn exposure down

    That area of colour will only be as saturated as it really is. My suggestion to view the colours more strongly (albeit temporarily) is to increase the Saturation slider within the the tool.
