13.1: Migration from Lightroom is VERY slow. Old version 13.0.4.10 is fine

    Hi Mathew,

I am surprised the migration from Lr to Capture One 13.0 would take only 7 hours for more than 200,000 items. When I did it (with Capture One 8), it took a full night for my the 15,000 images. Building the previews was the longest step, actually.

Please tell us if you succeeded in importing your full catalog : it's really a challenge for Capture One to import and manage a so huge catalog !

I'll report back when the import is complete. Perhaps there are additional stages?

I imported ~35500 images from a Lightroom Catalogue on my 2014 Retina MacBook (8GB, 1TB SDD), I think the import took over 12 hours and then it was very sluggish for quite a while when generating previews.

I don't have a problem with one-offs like that - it it more annoying getting Pizza wheel when making adjustments which happens now and then.

The import completed well past 8 hours, nearly 24 hours later. For >200,000 photos, using 13.0.4.10 was much, much faster than 13.1 (the import did not complete by day 3). This was a new import, into a new library file, so no previous import was preserved/continued.

As I am a new user, I am exploring Capture One for the first time. I'm hoping all else will be well, as using the software has been a pleasure. I do believe there is a serious import bug (at least with Lightroom -> C1) that specifically affects 13.1.

Question for the seasoned users: How do I identify what 14 files were skipped during import? I don't see this in the event log, but I'll start searching forums and help material to see if this answer is somewhere..
