Wacom Tablet - Cant scrolling
Good morning
I am currently trying to set up my Wacom Intuos Pro M so that I can scroll with the pen. This works in all applications. Except in Capture One 20.
Is there a setting? I have already found a similar post that it does not work with two fingers (https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360009396657-2-fingers-scrolling-wacom-intuos-Pro?input_string=Wacom%20Tablet%20-%20Cant%20scrolling).
Does it not work with the pen either?
Greetings

If I configure one of the pen buttons to either scroll or pan/scroll, C1 doesn't scroll e.g. in the Browser.
What you need to do is to enable "Use Windows Ink" as shown below, then you can scroll by just tap&hold the pen tip on the tablet and move it up or down. This also works in other applications like Windows Explorer and Google Chrome, but not in others, e.g. Firefox, which is my main browser.

I have Win10 1909 latest updates, latest Intuous Pro M model from early 2020 with latest drivers, C1 20.0.2.
Windows Ink is a mixed bag for me, e.g. when enabled, it does no longer accept clicks in the Windows Start menu, nor in C1, at least not from the "left" of two mice installed on my computer.
I don't have much experience with Windows Ink as I usually have it disabled for this reasons. Maybe it is time to try leaving it enabled, also to get rid of the numerous messages in C1 application.log:
"Received negative coordinate from mouse buffer (122,-421) Control point: (124,779) Delta^2: (1440004) Limit: 640000 This can happen using Wacom that has not been properly setup, possible in combination with multi-screen setup having different dpi/resolutions."
and to test if the -C1 Undo button is being disabled after a while- issue disappears (which I supect could be related to these messages).
I still prefer scrolling with the mouse wheel (which I use with my left hand now) and right-clicking, and even single and double left-clicking with my mouse and use the pen and mouse combined very often.
Combined pen & mouse method:
What I mean by this, I have the mouse set on a textile fabric which doesn't allow moving the mouse very easily so that it stays "fixed", I navigate the "mouse" pointer with the pen, hovering over the tablet (not even touching the tablet surface), and click, right-click or double-click with the mouse.
I use the mouse wheel to scroll in any application.
And in the C1 viewer I navigate the pointer with the pen over the part of the image I want to zoom in or out, which I then do with the mouse wheel.
If I view multiple images, I navigate the pointer with the pen, go up vertically so that it is outside the range of the tablet sensor reach, so the pointer remains at this location, press shift on the keyboard with the right hand (pen hand) and scroll to zoom in with the mouse.
Sounds complicated but works beautifully, often more precise than tapping the pen onto the surface, which always has the potential for slight pen pointer movements.
I use the same technique to nagivate to a slider and scroll the values with the mouse wheel. (I have a gaming mouse which has a "perfect" wheel, silent, distinct clicks, yet smooth wheel turning).
Even for course and fast brush work in C1 I use the pen hovering over the tablet, click+hold the left mouse button. For fine brush work I use the Pen on the tablet surface as it is intended to be used.
This having said, it helps to get familiar with the pen, especially in the beginning, if you solely use the pen and not the mouse, stow the mouse away so that you cannot reach it easily.
Watch her video, her exercises helped my a lot in the beginning (you can download the images and import them in C1, using the annotations tool on a layer to practise).

P.S.
Strange, if I do the opposite of what is mentioned here
, i.e. I enable press and hold for right-clicking, then scrolling in Firefox with just the pen moving on the tablet surface works too.

Wacom drivers, mouse drivers, Windows Ink and the applications all need to interact with each other, and it seems it is not fully stable at all times.

It's even more strange, if you change something in the Windows Pen settings (even though you don't really change it, say you click on Show Cursor twice), then Firefox let's you mark text (but not scroll) with the pen. If you change something in Flicks settings (again, even if you don't really change), then Firefox let's you scroll with the pen but not mark text.
Obviously, either scroll or mark text can be effective for the same action (tap pen and move the tip on the surface), but it cannot be controlled other by which dialog box has written something to Windows more recently.

Maybe easier to configure the tablet touch ring to page up and page down?

Yep.
I actually have the touch ring configured for scrolling. Almost never use it (not even for brush size), as I use the mouse as an extra device anyway and the mouse scroll wheel works better.

Thank you. I hope this will be fixed by Phase One. I don't want Windows Ink only for Capture One.

I have disabled Windows Ink again completely becaus of some side effects.
If you want something improve/fixed or alike, you should consider submitting a request to the company (Capture One) e.g. by the link on top of this page.

I'm posting this message here in case others come across this thread while searching for Wacom scrolling issues on Windows PC.
After struggling with this issue I found that by changing a setting in the "Pen & Window Ink" settings I could scroll using the pen. I unchecked the "Let me use my pen as a mouse in some desktop apps:

I can now scroll using the pen but still cannot scroll using touch. But I don't use touch that often and not in C1.
I haven't check how this may affect other applications. If I have issues I'll post them here.
Hope this helps!
