Slow import from SD card

Hi,

in the Import window, I noticed that Capture One reads all the files one by one and visualise the thumbnails. Iterating over all the files in an SD card often takes a while. I was wondering whether it's because I'm using a slow/defective SD card, or you too have the same problem.

My concern is that once I open the Import window, I need to wait 10 minutes before I can start importing. Is there anything you do to speed up the process?

  Hi Michele,

  Selecting "exclude duplicates" could very significantly increase the import process.

  I have currently an SD card with more than 800 pictures in, and it takes about 1 minute to display all the thumbnails. Then I can select the images I want to import.

  I think this is a specific Problem of the current Version. There are some Threads about the incredible Slowness of the first 13.1 (20.1). For some Users (also for me) the Import and moving of files is extrem slow. On my side the Problem stats with the latest update. I am looking forward for a fix from Cone.

  Thanks Robert Farhi... you're absolutely right! I unselected "exclude duplicates" and it runs much much faster.

  There's definetely something weird going on underneath (#bug).
