Hot key to change mask color

If my normal mask color is red and my current images contains lots of red, it can be hard to distinguish the mask from the content. A key that would toggle to an alternate color, or cycle through all available mask colors, would be helpful.

    Go to Preferences > Appearance and choose your colour at the bottom of the window.

    I guess I should have clarified that I know how to change the color in Preferences. What I'm looking for is a quick and convenient way to change it while I'm actually working with the mask.
