Zoom (arbitary value)

I have found that while pressing the Alt key and using the zoom slider (top right) that I can make my image zoom in increments of 1%.
Question...how do I make it stay at the setting I have chosen (eg 45%) without it springing back to one of the default zoom percentages when I release the mouse button?

If its not possible then why display at that setting?

  Good question. I have no idea why it does not stay at the chosen value. I suggest you open a support case for this and see whether they acknowledge it as a bug (or a feature, just kidding).

  Yes, I am experiencing this same problem which is annoying. Still deciding between CO and Lightroom.

  Would appreciate some help with this issue

  As far as I remember, this "issue" exists from the first version of Capture One I acquired (version 8). It is not a big problem for me, and I won't go back to Lightroom for that, but, indeed, it would be good if it could be improved.
