Scanned images original file numbers not present
I have scanned a large number of 4x5 negatives. They are on my desktop and labeled by year and negative number. FIRST problem absolutely none of the file numbers came with the images. # TWO the images are all "over the place" i.e. they didn't even import in the order they were in in the original desktop file. There are over 600 negatives !!!

In the Import dialog box, there is a Format field in the naming section. If you want images to be added to the catalog, with their existing names, you need to make sure that the Image Name token is in that field, like this.
Click on the ... next to the Format field to be able to drag tokens into the Format field.
If your original file names are in the order you want, then once the images are in Capture One you can sort by name.
