Folder Synchronisation Should Include New Subfolders
ImplementedThe "Synchronize..." feature, available from the context-menu of folders in the Library tool, already includes the option of including "known subfolders".
There should also be an option named "Include new subfolders".
I prefer to copy my new images to the existing folder structure first and then synchronise the catalogue at the respective location. However, currently this forces me to manually add new subfolders first, before they can be ingested via synchronisation.
Using the import dialogue is more cumbersome then using synchronisation, as it requires navigation through file structures using a small file finder dialogue. In contrast, the desired location is readily available from the hierarchical folder browser in C1.
BTW, not even selecting the "Show importer" option in the "Synchronize..." dialogue allows me to select the "Include Subfolders" option in the Importer dialogue. Why not?
Please add "Include new subfolders" to the already existing "Include known subfolders" option.

Hi Class A,
Thank you for this feature request.
I have sent it to the Product Management team for consideration.

This feature would make me purchase Capture One. I still use Lightroom but for some reasons I would like to use Capture One as well and I want to work on the same file system. The system which comes from Lightroom, so "Include new subfolders" is a must for me.

seems like these (look into) subfolders, synchronisation, relocate features are not hi on the todo list…
i work with panoramic images and need to split the folder into subfolders by viewpoint. the way to do it in C1 is really cumbersome. Add Folder > New Folder > Add > move the images into the new subfolder. to do it for 20 new panoramas takes a bit. to do via Mac OS finder is much faster, but then I need to relocate single by single – even more cumbersome.
a better synchronise feature would be great.
