Importing RAW images from DVD

How do I import RAW images into Capture One Pro 3.7.8 from a DVD on a MACBook Pro running OS 10.5.5?

    Two suggestions I expect to work:
    - copy images to your HD before opening CO3
    - open images in CO3 from DVD
    One suggestion that might (not) work:
    - import with the import dialog (but to start it if it does not start automatic?)
    Have currently no CO3 running, could not try.
