Hello, sorry if this is a bit simple but I'm new to digital photography so I'm not entirely familiar with the Capture One software or the camera that i'm using.

I've taken pictures in RAW only and loaded them from my compact flash card to C1 LE. In preview, I can see one JPEG image and one TIFF image for every shot that I've taken.

Is this normal? I expected to see RAW images in the preview windows.

    Set Camera to RAW only. If you see JPEGs in Capture One, then there are JPEGs within the Session Folder.
    While you can browse JPEG images, no editing is possible.

    Download files direct to Session folder without using any other programs.
    You may use the Phase One Media Reader to download / rename images from CF card.

    Default Location is best for Session folders
    C:\\Program Files\\Phase One\\Capture One LE \\ Captures\\ Your Session folders here.
    To load a Session once files are transferred, you will use the Browse function:

    Load images into this Folder in Capture One then Browse to and select this Folder >Refresh folder icon > and then Insert current folder as permanent collection.
    For Processing:
    Advice is to Keep It Simple.
    The best setting to have established at the Process tab is to the Set Process Folder… and check the Always process images to associated image folder
    With this box checked, a folder name Develops is created within the Session folder along with the RAW images.
    Creating a new Process to folder for every Session can become a convoluted mess and makes the file handling by Windows much more complicated than it has to be.

    It is best to keep the Process to location consistent. By checking the box to Always process images to associated image folder accomplishes this consistency well. Once processed, the folder can be renamed, copied or moved to new location with a little File Management.
