DNG or other formats instead of RAW
Hello,
I 4000 images from my Canon 80D i want to work in in C1P,
but 80D is not yet supported so therefore i am thinking about
converting the raw files to DNG files in lightroom, exporting them as DNG
and work on those in C1P.
Would that make sense or is there any other file format, that would be good instead?

The last version of C1 (#9) has greatly improved the treatment of dng obtained through conversion from a RAW, but most of the posts I have read about this topics are not convincing, and it seems to me that the development of an original RAW in C1 is far better than for a converted-dng.
My opinion would be to wait a little bit until your camera body is supported by C1, and convert to dng only the files you really need to work on and keep. Convert your 4000 files would be tedious and time consuming. So, be patient !!0 -
If you need to use DNG because your camera's native Raw isn't supported yet, then use the option to embed the original Raw file in the DNG. According to the new Capture One book, that way C1 has a usable ICC profile, because apparently (and confirmed by my own results), C1 doesn't correctly interpret Adobe's "interpreted, embedded" DNG profiles. 0 -
Thanks for all the input.
I have decided to continue with Lightroom, until C1P is updated.0
