Very odd and annoying behaviour with 7.0.1 on a Mac
I shoot tethered as EIP files using sessions on C1 7.0.1 on a mac. The program is doing some very strange things, to list a few:
• Random crashes. I can guarantee at least 2 crashes a day, the worst I've had is about 10 during a model shoot.
• Empty thumbnails appearing when I delete images. They stay in the capture folder as 8 kilobyte files and seem to show up in the thumbnail window in C1 as grey boxes with dotted lines around them.
• Strange instances where one image gets stuck in the main viewer. This then comes up along side any other image you select and can't be removed without a restart (it's not set as a compare variant).
• Thumbnails coming up a random order and refusing to reorder no matter what sorting options you choose.
• Corrupted thumbnails that appear with pink and white lines all over them.
We're basically just putting up with all these annoying issues, but it's happening on all three macs we shoot to here.
Anyone else have a similar experience?
Thanks
Olly

I have seen some of the behaviour and you might have read some threads here with similar reports.
General expectation is that an upcoming maintenance update will bring stability and solve these issues.
In the mean time, I could suggest not to shoot to EIP but pack to EIP later (end of the day, for example).
And check you OpenCL setting and set it to never for display and/or processing depending on your issues.
These are just suggestions, no success guaranteed.0 -
Thanks Paul, these sound like good suggestions. I'll give them a try and have my fingers crossed for the next update. 0 -
Hi
I'm not shooting tethered but simply opening and working on folders with 200-300 images. Crashes are really bad, certainly 3 or 4 per day, and the spinning ball of death. I fear i'll have to revert to version 6 as this isn't really workable.
Hope the updates come quickly.0
