How to activate C1 4.0 if phase one does not hold your name
A few people seem to be getting stuck on this...
C1 4.0 requires your first name and last name from your Phase One profile to activate the software. Unfortunately, if these are not recorded in your profile, you will not be able to activate. You need to update your profile.
Double unfortunately, in these circumstances, the knowledge base article that shows you how to update your profile says click on the link with your name on it, just next to the logout (top of screen, right of middle). But as it doesn't know your name, it's not displayed so you can't click on it - Catch 22.
Actually the link to "User Options" *is there*, but just very small. If you move your mouse a bit to the left of logout, it finds the link and you get through to
http://www.phaseone.com/Header/Login/UserOptions.aspx. Which you can go to directly when you are logged in anyway. There you can update your profile, add your first and last name and retry activation (it worked for me)!

- Yes, to the left of the Logout should be one's First and Last Name, however, if these data fields were left blank when creating a profile or activating, then nothing shows.
The Name is a Link to History and Editing/Updating of Profile.
All Required Data Fields show a Red Arrow and must be filled out.
Use and Maintain only 1 Profile will save headache and frustration with Activations.
