unreadable jpg

I am new to Capture and used it for an entire shoot today. Created 20 new sessions and took thousands of shots. They are all unreadable. I can't get them to open in any photo software. When opening one of my sessions, the images will come up and then go to exclamation points and all images and thumbnails go away. Surely I can recover that information some how. Any ideas?

  Sorry to hear you had such a rough start with CO8. Did you shoot tethered, or through card? If card, did you import with CO8 or by other means? Camera? JPEG settings? A bit more info would help.

  We shot tethered high res jpg. Using a Canon MKIII. Shots were searchable and working all day. I even opened a couple in photoshop during the day. When I try to open one of the sessions, I can see the thumbnails briefly and then they all go to exclamation points. Haven't found anything to recover the files.

  Please tell us more. For example:
  
  Are the jpg files still in the capture folder(s)?
  Single-user or multi-user environment?
  Files moved or renamed?
  Internal or external drive?
