Nikon NEF lossless compression and Capture One
Hello,
Are there any issues with using the lossless RAW format as opposed to the uncompressed full size RAW with capture one?
In terms of performance (tethering, rendering of previews, processing time) and of image quality. There are a few site out there claiming only nikon software can handle the compressed format correctly and that using compressed is actually
y slower- is this misleading?
Many thanks!!
(If of any significance Camera is D3x, macbook pro 10.7.3, capture one 6.4)

I have used my d3x with lossless compressed NEF files (14bit) for several years in Capture One and never had a problem.
Only difference from you is that I use Windows version but that should not matter.
