    Alan,

I am very glad to hear it is working well for you! You can expect faster development times in the future as we move toward the new platform. This update presented some great programming challenges and as you can imagine we needed to make sure it worked. We are also working on new firmware that will make your back even more stable.

Is the firmware of P45+ upgradable by myself? Or do I need to send the back to technical support?

What will be changed, for me P45+ is rock solid now.
Of course any improvement will be very appreciated.

    Thank you.

Hi Alan, if you are seeing rock solid performance you should not see much of a change with new firmware. We are working on making tethered shooting even more stable, and improving long exposure on some backs.

As will all of our firmware updates, you will be able to do it yourself.

Just downloaded 3.7.8 and didn't think I'd be able to shoot tethered with my 1DsM2 but to my great surprise it seems to be working! Thanks for getting this patched up for now; this issue has wreaked havoc with my capture workflow (I know I'm not alone!).

    Good job!

    Ken

So does 3.7.8 now run in OSX 10.5.1 perfectly ? are there any speed gains besides the processing speed, is it stable ?

No speed gain on my two Leopard systems (MacPro Quad Xeon 3.0Ghz and MacBook Pro 2.33Ghz), maybe a little slower, but with my P45+ it is very stable and for me this is enough.
I prefer stability over speed improvements. Of course I'm waiting for 4.0 Pro for more improvements on this side.

    Ciao

I would say the new upgrade is a vast improvement ,for the first time since Leopard was loaded there have been no crashes , and there does appear to be a improvement in speed of processing , thought that might well be because I am not rebooting all the time .
