does not recognize files in folders on hard disc

I tried to import a number of RAF files from a folder on which I keep all of my photo files. I choose the folder location, then the folder I want and open it, but there are not files listed. Now I know they are there, as if I go to the file manager I can see them.


Obviously there is some flag incorrectly set, but I'll be damned if I can find it. Any help is greatly appreciated.
