2nd install on Single user license
I have installed 4.5.1 on 2 computers, the first was a test install before the main machine was upgraded from 3.7.x.
Now the main machine has both 3.7 and 4.5 installed. When 4.5 is stared there is no Capture pane, Colour Editor, Vibrance, it is impossible to tear out adjustment items and place them in the Custom page. This happens whether the first installation is online or closed down.
From my reading of the License Agreement if one machine is offline the other should be working as normal. Is this happening because of the install sequence, ie is this normal behavior, because the two different versions are on the same machine, or is there something else going on.
I will be uninstalling and seeing what happens in the next couple of days but any help in the meantime would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Terry

The license conditions (single user) are not enforced through the software, as far as I know. Your limit on installations is determined by number of free activation left for your license. CO3.x and 4.x should be able to sit and run simultaneously on one computer.
I had a recent report of a similar problem on a Windows machine which was cured after entire removal of CO3.x (entire means beyond the uninstall function, removing hidden files as well, which are not documented for obvious reasons).
But, after re-reading your post, maybe there is no technical or software problem at all. The missing options you mention are 4.5.x Pro/DB options and will not show if you have a standard or 'LE' license.0 -
Paul,
thanks for your response.
My first thought was an LE install as well, but the Activation information as well as the IT department says both are Pro activations. Removal of the 3.7 was the next move.
