iWork support
Expressions Media is a valuable tool for creative people. Many, many creative people are on Macs.
And yet, the program does not support iWork files: pages, keynote and numbers.
This doesn't make sense. Has anyone found a workaround on this?
thanks.

Considering the software was built and released by MICROSOFT, this actually makes perfect sense.
The software was built with "Media" in mind as appose to documents. However some (Microsoft) files can be read to a degree (.doc, .xls, .ppt) so perhaps something can be amended to address Mac Generated documents in the future. If you create a support case and request this feature we can forward it onto R&D.0 -
Okay Drew, I’ll give it a try.
As a long time iView user, I’m happy you’ve rescued ME2 from the pit of Microsoft malaise.
I do a lot of designing, marketing, and photographic work. So I have lots of different kind of media files (beyond just photos) and iView/ME2 makes my life much easier.
I also make a lot of presentations using iWork apps so there are a lot of Keynote and Pages files roaming around my hard drive.
My point is that it’s very convenient to drop in a folder of PowerPoint files and be able to see what’s there and it would be great to do the same with folders of Keynote files.

Have you tried editing the custom.txt file to allow the import of those file types? I don't use iWork so I can't test it. 0
