Is C1 8 now fully compatible with Yosemite?
Hello, sorry if this has been addressed, but I searched over the last couple of months and couldn't find the answers I'm looking for. I'm guessing there are other lurkers like me still waiting to upgrade their Macs because of compatibility concerns.
The last posts I read from earlier this year suggested that there were still issues with Yosemite, and to wait for improvements from Apple before trusting that it would function smoothly with C1 v8. Do you feel that it's now safe for a busy one man studio to take the plunge?
My current set up consists of a 2 year old Macbook Pro running C1 v7 for location work, and a 4 year old Mac Mini running C1 v6 dedicated only for shooting in the studio. The Mini setup is very stable, although of course not too swift. But I shoot primarily still life with a p45+ on a Sinar view camera, with the occasional model shoot on my Phase One 645D+. I went with the Mini because I use matching high end calibrated NEC 26" displays which are beautiful, and haven't had any problems. In fact, I shoot with a 30 foot firewire cable and no powered hub all the time. My newer laptop, on the other hand, requires using a powered hub and shorter cables.
My other concern is making sure I can still run the calibration software for my NEC 2690WUXi displays. Any input is greatly appreciated.

CO8 is fully compatible with Yosemite. Check with your hardware vendors (NEC) for any compatibility issues, if any at all. Note that if your Mac hardware does not support Yosemite, but does support Mavericks, that is fine too for CO8.
Note that you can have more versions of CO installed on your system to test.0 -
Thanks Paul, just the info I was looking for. 0
