Quick proofs
Am I the only one to use quick proofs in version 3.7? I just ran a test 43 images output to 1166 x 1752 in version 4 took 5 1/2 minutes in version 3.7 took 1 1/2 minutes. That right there is enough to keep me using version 3.7
If this ever gets to support, here is another wish list:
Quick proofs,
Retain key board shortcuts such as ctlr -/+ and shift -/+ ; however, the mouse wheel was nice for adjusting the sliders,
Raw files only filter in browser,
Don't have the delete button send the file to the OS trashcan,
Be able to click and drag images into batch process,
Be able to save multiple process recipes,
Be able to select which tools we want in quick view.
There are probably more things that I could think of, but I've already spent too much time on trying to make it work with my work flow. I'll stick with what works for me. Right now that is 3.7 , but I'm always looking at new software, any thing else out there that I should check out?

I am using C1 Pro 3.7 also and I always use the Quick Proof to process low res image files for a projection presentation of portrait images to my clients. I had an idea that 4.0 didn't have the Quick Proofs which I think is a big omission. Also I didn't know that the Ctrl and Shift + and - shortcuts were not there either.
I have downloaded 4.0 but have really started using it.
I don't understand why software companies take away good functionality and features.0 -
CO has answered that the WEB gallery is the way to go.
BUT the filenames are useless if You burn just the JPG files.

yeah, i posted about this a couple months ago and PO said that because processing was so much faster in v4 they left it out. I hate it, we use quick proof in our workflow for every session. The web gallery, renames everything and is not high enough quality jpegs for our proofing. So now it takes 15 - 20 minutes to proof a session where before a quick proof would take 5. We must remember that v4 is replacing LE, hopefully this as well a few more things will be added into the v4 PRo release.
For now, no matter how much i really do like using v4, i'm stuck using 3.7 for the most part.0 -
Just getting started with V4. I think that generating previews is lightyears faster with the new version. đ
But then I lose all the advatage when it comes to give my clients som kind of previews, that is because I miss the "Quick Proof" function! âšī¸
Any ideas on how to deliver a large amount of small JPEGs so that the client can choose which files to keep for final processing? Which way is the fastest you know?
For instance today I want to give my client about 300 JPEGs in 700p size, just to let her choose which captures to keep.
I tried the "Web Contact Sheet", but I can't get the quality to look good enough and there is no way to apply sharpening(?)
Now I'm batch processing them in the standard way, but estimated time is 64 minutes!0 -
amen brother! preach it!.. lol
i really do like v4 a lot, but i can't get rid of 3.7 pro yet because i need to quick proof0
