PF correction not supported for .DNG (non native) ?

Seems that the lens information is either not converted into the DNG or CO 4.6 is not able to derive it from the converted DNG. It is correct that it is not linear DNG, because CO 4.6 can't read linear DNG.

I am sorry - what kind of lens information ? C1 does not support any lenses on Pentax bodies, so PF correction for .PEF raw files I believe is done just based on the data from the sensor, regardless of the any lens specific tags present (or absent) and what is stored (values) in those tags in .PEF file... - that is why you can see [Lens = "Generic"] in Lens Correction module when working with Pentax raw files... so w/ .DNG it should be possible the same way, just consider [Lens = "Generic"]... am I missing something ?

To be fair, I do not know how PF (purple fringing) feature works in CO 4.5 Pro and later.

Just out of curiosity: when you convert a .PEF file to .DNG with CO 4.6, and open it again with CO 4.6, does it support the file for lens corrections?
I did it with a Canon EOS 5D MkII file, and the DNG file (converted with CO 4.6) is an 'Unsupported file' for lens correction in 4.6 again. Native DNG files from a Leica M8 for example, are supported. I did this on 4.6/Mac, I assume 4.6/Win works gives the same result.

You can open a support case with Phase One if you like more information from the source (whether it is a bug or is not supposed to work for what ever reason.)

Pentax cameras (recent ones) have an option to shoot .DNG files instead of .PEF - I have the situation w/ native .DNG raw file straight from Pentax K20D camera... PF correction is disabled in C1 v4.6/Win

not that I really need it for .DNG files (I was just doing some tests) - just one more reason why .DNG can't be considered as a format to use for archiving yet.

Release notes state the for Pentax only PEF is supported. Surprised that native DNG from K20D works anyway.

yes, both native .DNG and .DNG from .PEF converstion can be opened, just not supported to the full extent.
