stubborn color editor tab

In the version 8.02 that I used daily for a month the color editor tab decided yo open /expand just one time ...

I just upgraded to version 8.1 hoping to meet better behaved color edit tab ...however it is the SAME DEVIL ....

I even tried to pull it out by click and drag method ...no success....

Kindly help me ...

  Sounds like your screen resolution does not meet the minimum requirements.
  It could also be a magnification setting or an unsupported Windows Theme. Hard to say but check the resolution and magnification of the system to be sure it meets the requirements;
