Try searching the forum for 'CaptureOne folder', and see my post here:

Thank you for letting me know, but....

I am working under Catalog mode and not sessions; therefore, the folder shouldn't be created. Unfortunately for me, the system is creating them.

I have seen this behaviour in the past when using a catalog.

It happened when I exported an image that was using a non-default ICC profile (e.g. a V2 profile for a particular camera). Phase One support said it was done in case you were handling on the images to another person that didn't have that particular profile on their system.

However, the folders stopped being created a few versions ago. I can't remember in which version the behaviour was removed, but it is certainly not happening for me in V9.1.1.

Could you tell a bit more?
    - Are they in all your imported folders?
    - What's the folder structure inside the CaptureOne folder?
    - Which file types are stored in there?
    - Is the content updated when CO is used or is there a specific action that creates them, like 'process' or 'edit with'?

    Hi Hans,

    - yes, it is always found on all folders (I am always deleting them)
    - Year/Month
    - just RAW files and XMP Files.
    - no, the settings folder is created right when importing the files.

I hope this information can help.

On your import dialogue, make sure under the Adjustments twistie you don't have "include Existing Adjustments" ticked. I suspect that may be what is creating your settings folder.
