Firewire 400 to 800 cable

Is there any increase in speed by using a firewire 400-800 cable for capturing?

    in this case the speed limitation is the FW Port it self.

    Also the FW800 connector are not the same as the FW400

    there is on the market FW800 (9 pins) to FW400 (6 or 4 pins) cables but your bottleneck is still the slower component in this case the FW400

    I dont know everything but I've never seen a FW800 DB or DSLR and I dont think that C1Pro is even design to listen on to the FW800 port.

    But Hey! If you have the time to test it... Go for it

    The firewire speed on most DSLRs is around 100-150Mbs, not even half the speed of FW 400, so save your money!
