Do you mean that there are transparent areas in the images? I don't think Capture One can handle transparency.

Hi - For a current set of photos, I am "editing with" Affinity Photo like I do all the time. But for these photos, I am pullout out the background in Affinity - so they can be pasted onto a webpage. When I hit save, it renders really poorly back into C1-12. (Either PNG or TIFF.) If I export to another file folder, they save and open fine.

I have a good work around - but it just seems odd - like C1 can't figure out what to do when there is no background

What sort of file are you exporting from Affinity?

When talking about 'rendering' are you referring to the thumbnail image or the result of opening the revised image in C1?

Having made the changes do you plan to do any further editing in C1? If so, what is your purpose for that work?

Thanks for the inputs. I think you are correct that C1 can't render the transparent areas. It looks bad in the thumbnail, the image in C1, and when I re-export (edit with) into PS or Affinity. So after pulling the background out in Affinity, I just export them to another file location and it works well. I don't save it back to C1 as I do when I create regular TIFFs in Affinity.

I use the transparent background when I work with web developers who want to paste something onto a webpage - such as an object you want to sell - like a salad bowl or toy.
