Import formats?

Which type of image files can C1 import? When doing an Import from my mac os x computer, only TIFF, JPG and DNG images are shown in the import window. Is there somewhere a list of the possible image file types that C1 can import? I could not find it in the documentation. In particular I'd be interested to import PNG files - is this not possible? Also: some JPG files in the import window do not have thumbnails - why is that?

  As far as I know, Capture One cannot import PNG files, although it can create output in PNG format.

  I don't know about a format list. But importing and editing of png files works. Just the limitations for non-raw editing apply. For editing, 'Enable PNG Editing' must be 'on' in 'Preferences' - 'Image' - 'Editing'.

  I noticed that CO's import window shows the embedded thumbnail of the image file. If an image was created without embedding a thumbnail, or the thumbnail was removed (for example by using 'exiftool'), the import window shows an empty preview for this file.
