because the LCD of the back is crap.
In addition there is no further post processing to the image in the back whilst in C1 you see the image with the film curve "standard" applied. If you set the film curve to "linear response" it's closer to the image on the LCD

Thomas is correct, The back will display the images with no adjustments, so the Linear response is a better match. In most cases this has minimal effect on the exposure appearance, but depending on where most tonality falls in the histogram can appear to be a stop or so different. If you are seeing a bigger change it is likely that you are using a brightness level that is too low or high. Generally 80% is the most accurate. P45+ will also be far more accurate because of the better LCD, trust you histogram for an accurate representation of the tonality actually contained in the file. Even if you use a different response curve in Capture One, it will still let you know what was originally captured in the file.

Thank you. What I found is while tethered, the capture shown on the P45 back is quite different than the one imported and viewed in C1. Untethered, the capture shown on the back appears much closer to the C1 view. Why do I care? I shoot location and get very antsy about the stuff until I can get it backed up in the studio. I like the idea of making additional captures on the cf card.

Set a certain WB in the Back like "daylight" instead of Auto-WB.
