Capture Pilot with Retina MacBook Pro 13
I am having a problem of connecting iPad to 13" Retina MacBook Pro using Capture Pilot. It connects fine if I use existing Wi-Fi network but would not work with 'computer to computer' wi-fi network created from MacBook. When I open Capture Pilot from iPad, it see the 'Local Server' properly and display but when I click on it, it displays 'Unreachable Server - could not connect to the server.'
I have MacOS 10.8.2, C1 v.7.0.1 and iOS 6.0.1
Funny thing is it will connect OK to an iMac if the 'computer to computer' wi-fi is created from iMac.

I followed the steps in your configuration from my MBP and iPad2 with similar software versions, but could not copy the issue.
Question: when you set up this computer-to-computer connection, and you START and STOP the image server (capture pilot tool) in Capture One, does the name appears AND disappears from your iPad, Capture Pilot, Local Servers?
If not, if the name remains listed, the application might hang and you need to reset it first.0 -
Yes, the Local Server shows up and disappear in Capture Pilot in iPad when I start/stop the server from MacBook Pro. 0 -
Great. This means that network connectivity is OK. Next step is the firewall. In System Preferences, Security, check your firewall. Is it on, switch it off temporarily and try again. You could also check the Options to see whether all incoming traffic is blocked.
Capture pilot should be able to work with the firewall enabled, because a rule is added to the firewall. However a restricted firewall blocks all incoming traffic.0 -

I'm having the same problem after trying the firewall settings you mentioned. Any other solutions? Btw, it worked fine the other day and now it suddenly doesn't work. Server shows up fine on my iPhone and iPad but I keep getting the "Unreachable Server" mssg. 0 -
Hi Tobin,
What is the status of your firewall? Is it OFF?
Another tip: stop the app on your iDevice or restart it entirely.0 -
Yep, firewall is off. Have closed and reopened the app and deleted/reinstalled as well. Not sure what's happening as I'm doing nothing different than the other day and it was working perfect. One glitch I noticed was when I'm viewing the last image it wouldn't allow me to zoom in or swipe to previous image, had to use the arrow button. 0
