Naming format problems

From what it looks like the reason you are getting the 2,3,4 etc at the end is the file system adding this because the bursts are so fast that your naming convention ending with the seconds would make x number of images (fps) all have the same file name. You can just add the Counter into your recipe on import.

    Thanks for feedback...

You mean it's possible on import with a recipe?

    I get this file naming?

    20150713-131844-1, 20150713-131844-2, 20150713-131844-3, 20150713-131844-1

    Because i don't like it with a space ...

I will try some more variants ...

If you cannot find a way to make the space into a dash at the point of creation (try adding a - after the "Current Time(SS)" maybe? - then take the files named as they are, select all after import and use the Batch Rename to replace the space with a - .

I have not tried it but I cannot see a reason for it to object.

It's very fast at renaming and done inside C1 keeps all of the connections correct (so far as I can tell - certainly one would expect that.)

Not only on import but also through batch rename you can achieve this for your current images.

This didn't work - at the end I will have a dash (-) at the end of all images not shot continues in the same second of time.

    20150713-131844- 1, 20150713-131844- 2, 20150713-172314-, 20150713-194854-

Hmh - what else is possible? I mean I would like only to get rid of a space and achieve that my continuous shots in the same seconds are named with a counted number. All this in one step and not a workaround ... BTW something that worked in Lr out-of-box ...

Using the File Naming Tokens at import and making "Image Time (ss)" the last one will, upon import, add "_n", i.e. underscore followed by a sequence number starting at 1, for the second image shot in the same second. Or at least it does on my system. No space but you may not like the underscore character and there is a possible problem if you have the potential to shoot more than 10fps.

For now you would probably be best to import with what is available and if the space really annoys you so much just perform a quick batch rename after import to replace the space with - or just remove it.

Then you could create an "Enhancement Request:" Support Case with C1 to suggest that an option to manage how automatic sequence numbering per second should be added to the import naming options. I would guess this probably happened at some point in the development of LR too.

This is exactly what is NOT working on my Mac - no add "_n" with my token [last one: Image Time (ss)] settings.

But for now we will see what the support can do for me/this behaviour 😊
