There is no easy way - once you are in you can never leave! Well not without a lot of work anyway. See here:https://captureintegration.com/transition-tips-capture-one-catalogs-to-sessions/

The suggested Export > Originals is the way to go. A bit cumbersome in particular for large collections, but doable.

If you need more information on the Export command you might find some help here as well:

Ok .... am geting little confuse !
in C1 Session Mode , inside the folder name Capture there are now subfolder stored looking like this
    / Capture / 2015 , 2014 , 2013 .......etc.
my Problem : the Pictures inside are not been showing in C1 , this happens only if i scroll down and pointing to the Systemfolder and make a pick on such folder name like 2015,
that mean that C1 looks inside Capture folder only at the Top level ❓

In a session, you can view only a single folder at the time. This is true for either a session folder (session folders are at the top in the Library) and for any system folder.

after Copying the Original Pictures with the Setting to session folder, i cannot show the changes images inside C1
all folders have the Capture folder and the Configurations files !
the images inside C1 are signing that they are edited bevor but not really the changes that i don before !

    Original = Variant 💡

Do you mean you have all of the images AND the .cos files (and possibly .comask files) in the same folder (2015)?

the images are marked with editing samples but not really showing it right !

    Update :

this happens only with two folders ! authors folder are showing the correct behaviors 💡
all folders are copied with the same methods 💡

    I use sessions not catalogs.

All sessions that C1 creates or folders that I associate with a session use a specific structure that I assume is a structure that C1 needs in order to find and save the files it uses.

So you have the Session folder and in that will be the default (usually) Sub folders for

    Capture
    Output
    Selects
    Trash

We are only interested in Capture at this point based on what you have described.

If using the Capture Folder you should have a Sub folder called

    CaptureOne

and your images for the session. (Or you may have Subfolders for each set of images in which case THEY will need a CaptureOne folder in them.)

In the CaptureOne folder you need 2 Sub folders.

    Cache
Settings82 (If using C1 V8.2 or later. A different number for earlier versions).

In the Settings82 folder you need to store all of your .cos and .comask files for the images in the Capture folder (or the sub-folder under Capture if the images are in a sub folder which will need it's own Settings82 folder.)

The Cache folder contains 2 folders - one for Proxies and one for Thumbnails.

The images in the Cache will be recreated when necessary so you can ignore them - nothing needs to be copied into them.

I would suggest the easiest way to see this would be to create a new session with a single image imported to the Capture folder. Then have a look at the folder and file structure that has been created and from that you will see what is needed.

Thanks Grant .. for your grad Posting

    well let me explain something...
i want to move from Catalog to Session and i got hier some nice constructions how to do that.
actually the Capture One do this job for you ... select images and export the original file + uncheck the setting option in the mask .... OK all files are now moved in such pointed folder.
now i have Capture One working since 2 days to build the thumbnail
some files are no showing the changes authors are not ! all setting files are not missing and on the right places ,
and the sad news, i am not finding in C1 8.3 any kind filter criteria that i select for showing only edit Images 😕

    I use sessions not catalogs.

    i am using also sessions

So you have the Session folder and in that will be the default (usually) Sub folders for

    Capture

    Trash

    yes i have the same

If using the Capture Folder you should have a Sub folder called

    CaptureOne

    yes i have the same

n the Settings82 folder you need to store all of your .cos and .comask files for the images in the Capture folder (or the sub-folder under Capture if the images are in a sub folder which will need it's own Settings82 folder.)

there are no such .comask file been found in the Setting82 , only .cos

The Cache folder contains 2 folders - one for Proxies and one for Thumbnails.

    yes i have the same

The comask files are related to Local Adjustment Layers. If you have not created any you would not expect to see any files for them.

However if you have used local adjustments in the catalog edits but do not see any comask files when the files are exported to be used in a session structure ..... there may be a problem to investigate but I have nor useful suggestions to help you because I do not use catalogs so I have no experiences to tell you about.

If you are asking C1 to re-process a lot of files it may certainly take some time to work through the re-processing for everything that will appear in the Cache sub-folders. The more data you have in a single session the bigger the processing task - just like when you are using a catalog.

I have no problems with performance when using a session with several thousand files in each folder and many folders related to the session.

However I am not able to comment on any sessions that might have very many thousands of images in a single folder if that is what you have.
