The straightforward way is to keep your CaptureOne at the top level in the Applications Folder (the default location, where you likely have it now).

In that case all you can do is open the DMG file, in the window that opens drag "Capture One 11.app" v11.1.1 (now the latest version, fixes a couple of minor bugs in 11.1) into "Applications", and it will overwrite the previous version that is in your Applications folder.

Start Capture One up, and it should work. OSX will as usual ask you to verify that it is legitimate, and you may have to activate COP it again. No options, no choices and very reliable.

If you are somewhat cautious, you might do like me; I have my folders setup like so:

    /Applications
CaptureOne.app(Alias)---> the version I decide I should be running as default.
      /Capture One Versions
      /COP10.2
        Capture One 10.app
      /COP11.0
        Capture One 11.app
      /COP11.1
        Capture One 11.app

With this arrangement I can choose which version of CaptureOne I wish to run. Usually I will run the new version for a few days before I delete the old if I am changing from do versions, like 11.0 to 11.1.

However if you do this you must manually set up the folders, and manually copy every new COP version to the folder where it should be.

If I am changing major versions (like 10 to 11), then I am more cautious and will wait a a month or more before I get rid of the old. At the same time when changing major versions, the catalogs are upgraded, so you need to keep two versions of your catalog and sessions, old version and new version.
