Thethered shooting White Balance is crazy
Hi, I own a Sony A7II, and I'm currently working on Capture One 9.2.1, running on El Capitan 10.11.6
Recently I found that when I put my camera White Balance in Auto, Capture One puts the resulting photo in "custom" White Balance. I manually move it to "Shot", in order to preserve the Balance the camera does (it is necesary in order to preserve color tones in still life photos, as the light changes throughout the day).
The thing is, the next capture will move to "custom" white balance again, no matter what I try.
Is something I'm doing wrong here?
Thank you very much in advance

Is it possible that you might have saved a custom WB setting as the default for that model of camera?
At what point in your workflow is the custom setting applied?0 -
Two thoughts:
Do you apply a 'Next Capture Adjustment' using 'Copy from ...' or a style?
Do you have a conflict between manually setting the WB in your camera and the setting in CO's 'Capture' tab?

Hi guys! I didn't apply a custom WB setting as default, at least I didn't remember doing it.
The custom setting is applied any time I shoot a new capture.
On the "Next Capture Adjustment" I have these settings:
ICC profile: Default
Metadata: Copy from last
All other: Copy from last
Styles: None
I tried, and I don't have any conflict between manually setting the WB in the camera or the setting in Capture One, it will change in both places no matter where I change it.
I still don't know why this is happening...0 -
Okay, sorry for the double post. I've been trying a bunch of things and I think I figured out how to do it.
In the "Next Capture Adjustments", I selected "All other": Copy specific from last. Then, on the dropdown menu, I unchecked the White Balance. So now, Capture One is copying from the last capture all adjustments except the WB.
It seems to work just fine by now0
