In general, a locked catalog is not an emergency situation but just something to unlock. 😉

How? In CO8, open catalog, go to File menu, Unlock catalog.

Ok, the catalog is not locked. The images are not editable. Has anything changed in your licensing or activation? Can you check Capture One menu > License? What does it read under the license code?

Also in the Capture One menu > About: what does it show where I have put dots in Capture One ... <version number>?

I don't think TimeMachine is meant to do what you want to do. Remember what TimeMachine is, it is a bunch of differences from one backup to the previous. So most of the system is links upon links back to an actual file, I also believe that TM also sets everything ReadOnly, as it is not meant to have things messing with its files.

So if you open the Catalog from a TM backup from say a week ago, and CO wants to write a change, you just messed up any future links, and I would think hosed your TM backup.

Simple solution, copy the CO8 catalog off the TM drive, and work with the copy. That is how it is suppose to work.

yes that what i am getting :

    Verbindung mit Datenbank fehlgeschlagen
    /Volumes/Seagate Backup Plus Drive/Backups.backupdb/iMac/2015-06-26-173016/Macintosh Fusion Drive/Users/Name/Pictures/Capture One Catalog.cocatalog/Capture One.cocatalogdb

    Datenbank Verbindung FEHLGESCHLAGEN

The database access is limited to read only, this indicates that the database cannot be modified.

well i want only to copy my pictures with the setting to my HD / Session folders and this can only bee happens by using CAPTURE ONE !

thats mean i have to copy the 93 GB Catalog first to HD and then start !

i thing its a inflexible way , and hope Phase One do for us something.

    Thanks !
