I have the same problem since I upgraded to OS10.11- PhaseOne still claims COP is not fully compatible with EL Capitan.

    Hi,

I am experiencing the same. The 8.3.4 Release Notes clearly state Mac OSX support or am I seeing it wrong?

    Highlights, Capture One 8.3.4
This is a service release providing bug fixes, and camera support
    OS support
    • Mac OS X 10.11

    Thanks,
    Peter

Steve (and anyone else to whom this may be of use ....)

This being a User to User forum there is not too much chance that anyone can offer you a meaningful answer to your question.

Have you created a Support Case?

If not you should. For three reasons - there may be more but 3 should do for now.

Firstly you will get an official answer of some sort from the people responsible for support and maintenance. There may be a known solution or a usable work around.

Secondly it may not have been reposted already (probably unlikely in this case but you never can tell unless you report it) and even if it has been reported your experiences and configuration may be of interest in diagnosing the cause. You never know what may help if pinning it down is proving tricky.

Thirdly from what we know Phase track all logged problems and assess the degree of importance to them that reflects the number of occurrences and the amount of difficulty the problem creates amongst other things. If you don't report it they have no official numbers to work with.

    HTH.

As noted before open a support case with C1, because I've done similiar case, and PO acknowledge problem. But unfortunately for me it just happens periodically without a strict reason.

looks like the supportcases were used to improve only the fee-based version.
9.x is released. and there ist still no 8.x version functioning with el capitain.
    that's not very customer friendly!

Ah, you're posting the same text on multiple places. Would you care to explain what is not functioning? I'm running CO8.x successfully on El Captain.

And ... of course P1 is using our feedback to improve on the versions. It would be a shame if they did not.

    as discribed in the thread

I would be happier if p1 would have solved the problem in a 8.x version without that I have to pay, install and get used to a complete new version. it would be sufficient if c1 would again run as under yosimity.
new features are overrated for the daily work.

In the other thread you're referring to this thread for explanation on what's not functioning.

Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying that if it works for me, it works for you (obviously it doesn't). But, a blanket statement that CO8.x doesn't work with El Captain is just wrong.

So, to educate me and other readers about the issues, what are they?

    @hcs
    ok, i should correct this.
c1 8.3.4 not full functional under el capitain. the recent sessions aren´t be saved as they were unter yosemite. p1 asked for support cases about this problem but they didn´t fix it for version 8.x. so if your workflow is depending on this feature you have to buy the update. either way it remains customer-unfriendly.

C1 Pro has always been like this. Apple and Adobe will ratify older versions with new updates but Phase One has always left the the previous version lying in the dust with asthmatic symptoms. There have never been a good final version of C1 Pro. There's simply too little competition on the market for them to care. One final version could barely rename files if I remember right.

the fact that it is so, does not mean that it is good

i tested c1 v9 and the recent sessions appear again.
but to pay 99,- € just to get this feature back makes stomach pain.

That would be an interesting statement considering that 8.3.4 was officially released as supporting OS X 10.11 in the release notes that can be found here: https://www.phaseone.com/en/Download/So ... Notes.aspx

I still haven't upgraded yet to El Capitan and was considering it today as 10.11.2 just got released. But guess I will wait even longer now until either version 9 has a first bug fix release or version 8 got yet another fix release.

with 99 euro, you also getting 3 seat for free, so it worse upgrade actually for free 😊.

I hope that C1 will release 8.3.5 but unfortunately there is NO any official confirmation from C1. As 9 version for them solved a lot of old issue with legacy 10.8 10.9 OSes.
